Three missions, two perspectives, one expedition

On June 11, we had the pleasure of experiencing a special evening at the LaMunt Store & Community Place:
Photographer Marisa and expedition leader Jule took us on a journey through their eight-day expedition through the remote Terekty Valley in Kyrgyzstan—a region characterized by massive glaciers, untouched nature, and a sense of pristine wilderness.
It wasn’t just about spectacular images, but also the stories behind them: about physical limits, team spirit, scientific research on glacial changes, and the unique experience of focusing on what truly matters far away from infrastructure.
The evening provided space for inspiration, exchange, and new perspectives—on nature, on travel, and on the question of how we perceive and preserve our world.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Marisa and Jule for their openness and fascinating insights, as well as to all the guests who enriched this evening with their curiosity.
We are already looking forward to the next gatherings at the LaMunt Store & Community Place.
