Dörte Story

Each of us experiences the mountain in a unique and personal way. It can be a place where we feel free, a moment to share, or a space to reconnect with ourselves. It’s this special time, experienced at our own pace, that we call Mountain Me-Time.

Through this series, we share the Mountain Me-Time of the women who inspire us and the personal connection each of them has built with the mountain. In the previous episodes, we met Tiziana, Lisa & Dagmar, Anna, Silvia and Carolin, discovering each time a different way of experiencing this world and the emotions it has to offer.

In the sixth episode, we introduce you to Dörte Kaschdailis, a member of the LaMunt Crew since 2022, entrepreneur and passionate lover of the outdoors and mountain activities.

Originally from northern Germany, Dörte grew up in a landscape very different from the Alps, surrounded by the wind of the Baltic Sea and the dykes that were part of her everyday life. Moving to Munich, where she now lives and works in the digital world with a strong connection to the sports industry, introduced her to a completely new landscape. Little by little, those unfamiliar mountains became part of her life.

Today, the Alps are much more to Dörte than a place to enjoy the hiking and mountain activities she loves. They have almost become friends: a presence with which she has built a relationship over time based on respect and acceptance, connection, growth and support. After intense days filled with work and personal projects, Dörte often chooses to head into the mountain alone. It is her way of making space for herself, leaving the noise of everyday life behind, clearing her mind and recharging. Time just for herself, to reconnect with her feelings and find new energy: this is her Mountain Me-Time.
