Our OCTA® Fleece thermal garments’ warmth and lightness

As temperatures drop, nothing is better than a soft warm cuddle, even at high altitudes. That’s why, for our new Fall/Winter 2024 collection, we created new thermal fleeces with an innovative material that could meet these requirements and make your Mountain Me-Time as comfortable as possible.

OCTA® FLEECE is the fabric we chose for our new Jenny thermals. It is a unique material; what makes it special is its structure, which insulates against the cold while maintaining excellent breathability. It has two sides, a smooth side and a fluffy side; we used both, making the design of the garment elegant and feminine. If you look at the thread of this fabric under a microscope, you can see that it has an octagonal shape with an empty core. This shape allows a better heat distribution, contributing to optimal thermal insulation and comfort; the hollow core traps air, becoming so a natural insulator.

In addition to these technical features, the fabric has a focus on sustainability. It’s made from recycled polyester, which requires less energy in comparison to the production of virgin materials. Its fluffy part is created by cutting the fibers and not by “brushing" them like ordinary fleeces, in this way we reduce the dispersion of microplastics during washing.
