“Community”
The state of sharing or having certain common traits and interests.
For us, however, community is so much more: it’s a sense of belonging, it’s sharing, it’s support.
From day one, we chose to start from this concept, creating a group of 24 women from Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. They are our closest circle: the LaMunt Crew. A group of diverse women with unique stories and backgrounds: entrepreneurs, teachers, designers, ski instructors, and many others, united by a shared passion for the mountains.
Together with them, our collections take shape, because they are born from real, lived experiences. Once a year, we gather in the mountains: we share time, sport, and ideas. Between one activity and the other, we work together to improve, listen to one another, and bring our vision to life.
Over the last few years, this mindset has grown even more. We’ve started partnering with outside communities: other groups that share our approach to the mountains.
It was a natural journey: when you share the same values, collaboration can only blossom.
Today, these connections stretch across Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Our six communities mean much more to us than just a project: they are relationships, shared experiences, and new ways of experiencing the mountains. Together, we are helping to promote a growing female perspective of the outdoors, built on authenticity, openness, and sharing.
For this reason, we’d like to introduce you to the communities we support: each one reflects our own way of experiencing the mountains in their own unique way.
Donne di Montagna
The Donne di Montagna community was born from a conversation between Marzia Bortolameotti, a journalist and hiking guide, and other women who share the same passion. Based in Trentino, Italy, the community has created a full calendar of events that highlights the presence of women outdoors, ranging from the professional to those who explore the mountains only occasionally.
Drawing on a national network of professionals in the outdoor sector, ranging from mountain guides and hiking guides to cycling and bike tour professionals, as well as yoga and mindfulness instructors, Donne di Montagna organizes experiences that go beyond the mere act of reaching a summit or covering a certain distance.
Chixxs on Board
Based in Switzerland, Chixxs on Board is a mountain and outdoor school designed for all women. A place to learn, experiment, and challenge yourself in a safe and inclusive environment, where every step is shared.
Through courses and activities spanning various outdoor disciplines such as mountaineering, hiking, climbing, surfing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, and much more, Chixxs on Board creates spaces where starting from scratch is possible, without pressure or expectations. Here, what matters is the personal journey, discovery, and feeling at ease, alongside others who share the same curiosity for the mountains.
SportingWOMEN
sportingWOMEN is a community founded in Germany, Bayern by a team of women with a passion for sports and the outdoors, who have been working for over fifteen years to connect and empower other women through movement. What began as a bold idea is now a well-established reality, built on shared experiences and relationships that grow over time.
Through multi-day events, courses, and gatherings, sportingWOMEN creates opportunities to discover outdoor sports or deepen one’s journey, always in a welcoming and inspiring environment. Experience and collaborations with partners and industry professionals allow them to offer carefully curated activities designed to meet the real needs of participants.
At the heart of it all remains the same goal: to create a space where women can feel at ease, challenge themselves, and share their passion together.
The Female Explorer
Based in Leipzig, The Female Explorer started out as a magazine dedicated to women who experience and share their stories of the mountains and the outdoors from an authentic perspective. It’s a space where diverse experiences find a voice, shared in a direct and personal way, free from stereotypes and expectations.
Over time, this vision has also taken shape in the form of real-life experiences: outdoor camps. Multi-day events where participants can meet, explore, and experience the mountains together, creating real and lasting connections.
Austrian Mountain Girls
Austrian Mountain Girls is an Austrian community that brings together women who share a love for the mountains, nature, and spending time outdoors.
The community was founded with the goal of creating a network of mutual support and inspiration, where women can feel free to be themselves, try new experiences, and grow together.
Beyond digital connections, Austrian Mountain Girls places great value on in-person gatherings: mountain weekends, local meetups, and activities organized by ambassadors help build authentic connections and find new adventure partners.
LadiesTour.Bayern
LadiesTour.Bayern was founded in Germany, specifically in the Bayern region, with the idea of creating mountain experiences designed exclusively for women. Spaces where women can share time outdoors in a relaxed, authentic, and pressure-free way, leaving room for the joy of being together.
Going to the mountains with other women often means feeling freer to express oneself, to face doubts or fears, and to experience the journey at a more personal pace. This is precisely what Ladiestour.bayern is based on: prioritizing fun, well-being, and the quality of the time spent together, rather than performance.
Supporting these communities for us is a journey of growth. Every collaboration is an exchange: of experiences, of visions, of different ways of experiencing the mountains.
And it is precisely by looking beyond borders that we have come to realize something profound: in different places, with different languages, and in different contexts, the same desire is emerging. More and more women are choosing to experience the mountains together. Not to prove anything, but to feel free, supported, and part of something bigger.
This pattern, which repeats itself across Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, confirms that this is not just a trend, but a real change. A new way of being in the mountains: more mindful, more inclusive, more authentic.
For us at LaMunt, it is a privilege to walk alongside these communities, support them, and grow together.
Because it’s from these connections that lasting change is born:
